Submissions

Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

To ensure a successful submission, please adhere to the following detailed author guidelines:

• Manuscript Types: EDAS accepts original research articles and review articles. Authors must ensure clarity, coherence, and academic rigor.

• Submission Format: Manuscripts must be prepared using the official EDAS Word template. Download the official manuscript template here.

• Manuscript Structure: The manuscript should include title, author details, abstract (150–250 words), 3–6 keywords, structured main sections (like: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion), declarations as per format and references.

• Figures and Tables: Figures and tables must be numbered and captioned, placed close to their citation in the text. Figures must be at least 600 dpi preferred in PNG or JPEG format. Tables should be editable and included in the manuscript file.

• Referencing Style: The journal follows the IEEE referencing style. In-text citations should appear as numbers in square brackets (e.g., [1]). References should be listed numerically in the order cited. Provide DOI where ever available. 

• Language, Style and Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be in clear English, free of grammatical errors, and written with academic precision. All submissions must maintain academic integrity, with a plagiarism limit of 10% and no more than 4% similarity from a single source.

• Peer Review Process: EDAS offers both single-blind and double-blind peer review, based on the author’s selection at submission.  All submissions undergo editorial screening before peer review. For detailed information, refer to the journal's peer review policy and process flow here.

• Reviewer Suggestions: Authors must suggest five potential reviewers as part of the submission (included on the cover page to the Editor). A maximum of two reviewers may be from the same country as the author(s); the remaining three must be from countries not affiliated with the authors. Additionally, the two reviewers from the same country must not be affiliated with any of the authors’ affiliation.

• Post-Acceptance Process: Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting and formatting. Authors will receive galley proofs for final approval before online publication.
